About Us:
The Horticulture Association of Bhutan (HAoB) was established in 2018 as a non-profit organization, officially registered as a Sector Association under Section 8 of the Guidelines for the Formation & Endorsement of Sector Associations.
Our commitment is deeply rooted in the realization of the objectives meticulously outlined in our Articles of Association. Operating throughout the picturesque landscape of Bhutan, it is imperative to emphasize that HAoB functions in strict accordance with the regulations stipulated in the Royal Charter of Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry 2022, as well as all other pertinent laws that govern our remarkable nation.
We are dedicated to promoting and advancing horticulture in Bhutan, boost sustainable horticulture development, increase productivity, and expand market reach to enhance income opportunities for our stakeholders. HAoB collaborates with 300 farmer groups and cooperatives under its umbrella, engaging in the production, processing, and marketing of a wide range of horticultural products, including vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, and flowers. We also facilitate coordination in production, provide valuable market insights, and foster connections to empower our members.
Our objectives encompass protecting our community, advocating for sustainable and organic farming practices, nurturing future horticultural professionals, exploring value-addition and product development, recognizing professional horticulturists, preserving our pristine environment, and promoting linkages on local, regional, and international levels.

horticulture by increasing productivity and broadening our market reach,
thereby providing elevated income-generating opportunities to our esteemed

Under the expansive and inclusive umbrella of HAoB, we take great pride
in embracing 160 vibrant groups and cooperatives, convening annual meetings to
collaboratively tackle challenges and strategically plan for the continued
progress of horticulture. These diverse groups actively engage in the
cultivation of a wide spectrum of horticultural products, including vegetables,
fruits, mushrooms, and flowers, all destined to enrich local and regional
markets. Furthermore, some of our affiliated groups specialize in processing,
while others have honed their expertise in the intricacies of logistics and
marketing.
